Fuller launches election campaign with jobs pledge

Richard Fuller, Conservative parliamentary candidate for Bedford and Kempston has today launched his general election campaign with a promise to bring back jobs to the town.

Speaking from Auto Crash Repairs, where he was addressing employees, he pledged that as an elected MP for the town, he would ‘work hard every day to encourage a large-scale employer to establish in Bedford’.

“For too long, Bedford has relied on its commuter status to bring investment to the town. With our pool of locally-grown skill and talent, it is time that we attracted a large-scale sustainable employer to deliver jobs and prosperity to the area.”

Richard added that his efforts locally would be complemented by a package of Conservative proposals aimed at helping existing businesses to save jobs, including the Party’s call for a national loan guarantee scheme to get urgently-needed credit flowing again.

“Every day that the Government hesitates to call a general election, it is putting at risk people’s livelihoods. I am more than ready to fight this election now so that I can get on with delivering local jobs for local people”.
