14 December 2008 Christmas Prize Draw Won By Mrs Muriel Waghorn from Putnoe
This year our Association in Bedford and Kempston decided to offer a luxury local
prize in the Conservatives’ Christmas draw. So one number was drawn from the draw
stubs by our Prospective Parliamentary Candidate, Richard Fuller (and then put back)
before they were all sent on to the National Draw, and the winner of the luxury Christmas
hamper was Mrs. Muriel Waghorn of Putnoe Ward. She is seen here receiving her prize
from Richard Fuller and Barbara Purbrick of the Putnoe Ward Committee. Mrs Waghorn
intends to share her prize with her daughter and family who also live locally.
All
the entries from Bedford and Kempston have now been delivered to the central draw
location, and who knows, Mrs. Waghorn or others from our constituency may be lucky
again and win one of the many prizes in the main draw. John Watson, Chairman of
the Association, said that it is the intention to offer a local luxury prize again
in both the summer and Christmas draws next year, so remember when the tickets come
round, buy lots and you could be lucky!
